The walled city the Almoravids founded in the 11th century, built around Jemaa el-Fna and the Koutoubia minaret. Nearly every riad hides behind a plain door on a foot-only derb, and UNESCO listed the medina in 1985 together with the Agdal and Menara gardens.
A short run from the terminal to the ramparts; the last stretch follows the pink walls round to the bab your riad uses.
The car stops where the road ends, not at the riad: a rampart gate such as Bab Doukkala, Bab Agnaou or Bab Jdid, or the top of Riad Zitoun el-Jdid near Jemaa el-Fna. Your riad knows its nearest point. Ask for it, plus a WhatsApp number for whoever will walk you in, and add both to the booking; many riads send someone to meet the car.
The derbs were built for people and mules, not cars. The driver stops at the nearest gate or street a car can reach, and a porter or someone from your riad walks you the last few minutes with the bags.
The one your riad names. A riad in the Kasbah does not use the same point as one north of the souks, so do not guess from a map: send the gate or street together with the riad's name and phone number.
No. The transfer ends at the gate. Handcart porters work for themselves and are paid in cash, so agree the fee before they load the bags. Many riads send their own staff to carry them instead, so ask yours first.

Send your flight details now. The office replies Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 18:00; drivers work around the clock.
