A surf village on the coast north of Agadir, known for Anchor Point and the other point breaks along this stretch.
Taghazout is 271 km from Marrakech, about 3 h 20: the toll motorway to Agadir, then north on the coast road. A private transfer costs 1,800 MAD per car for up to 3 guests, and the van takes boards. By public transport it is a bus to Agadir and a local bus up the coast.

Straight to your surf house, with room for boards in the van.
Lines 32 and 33 run from Agadir up the coast every 15–30 minutes in the day. Boards on a crowded local bus are hard work.
Faster than the local bus for the last part, if you agree the fare first.
The motorway takes you across the plain and through the western High Atlas to Agadir. The driver then follows the coast road north past Tamraght to Taghazout, so you have the sea beside you for the last part.
Most people stop once on the motorway for coffee. If you want a proper lunch, tell the driver when you set off.
The waves here work best between September and April, which is when experienced surfers come. Anchor Point, just north of the village, is the famous one: a long right-hand point that can link up with Hash Point and run down to the beach break at Panorama's.
If you are learning, ask your surf school which months it recommends before you book flights.
Taghazout from 1,800 MAD per car
The price is fixed before you travel. The office confirms it in writing.
A sedan has no room for boards. Book the van, 2,350 MAD for up to 7 guests, and tell us how many boards and how long they are. A minibus for up to 16 costs 2,600 MAD.
Surf camp groups travelling together often fit one minibus, which costs less than several cars. Send the group size, the number of boards and the camp's map pin with the booking, and the office confirms one price in writing.
Many surf houses sit on lanes too narrow for a car. The driver stops on the nearest road and your host meets you there. Send the map pin and your host's phone number with the booking.
Taghazout Bay, south of the village, is the newer resort area with large hotels and golf. Those hotels have a drive-up entrance.
For a flight from Marrakech, allow 3 h 20 for the drive plus a margin and check-in. For a flight from Agadir, the airport is much closer; book a transfer from your surf house to Agadir airport instead.
The motorway to Agadir, then north along the coast road to the village.
At your surf house or hotel. If it is on a narrow lane, the driver stops on the nearest road a car can use; send the map pin so your host can meet you.
Ask for a photo stop or lunch on the way when you book. Short stops are free; a longer detour is added to the written price.
Yes. Tell us how many boards and how long they are when you book, so the office sends a vehicle with room for them.
1,800 MAD per car for up to 3 guests, 2,350 MAD for a van up to 7 and 2,600 MAD for a minibus up to 16.
