Agafay desert dinner: return transfer
A private car to an Agafay camp and back costs 1,100 MAD per car for the return trip in Standard. The camps are 28 km from the Medina, about 35 min by road. Many dinner packages include a shared transfer; book us if yours does not, or you want your own car and your own times.

What the ride covers
- Pickup at your hotel, riad or villa in the afternoon.
- Drop-off at the camp entrance; the last part is a gravel track, so send the camp's map pin.
- Return to your hotel after dinner at the time you set.

Timing
- Leave between about 16:00 and 17:00 to arrive before sunset; the camp gives you its time.
- Dinner packages often end around 22:30. A return that starts from 23:00 costs 20% more on that leg.
- Nights are cold in the desert even in summer: take a jacket.

How much is a return transfer to Agafay for dinner?
1,100 MAD per car in Standard for the out and back legs at daytime rates. If the return leaves at 23:00 or later, that leg costs 20% more.
Can the driver wait at the camp during dinner?
Yes, if you book the driver by the half day (900 MAD) instead of a return trip. With a return trip the driver leaves and comes back at the agreed time.
Is Agafay a sand desert?
No. It is a stony desert of bare hills with the High Atlas behind. For sand dunes you need Erg Chebbi near Merzouga, a trip of at least three days.
