Hot-air balloon transfer in Marrakech: early pickup
Most balloon companies in Marrakech include hotel pickup, so check your booking first. Book us only if yours does not, or your hotel is outside its pickup area. Our nearest priced place is the Palmeraie, 600 MAD return; the launch fields are further out, so the office confirms the fare for yours.

What the ride covers
- Pickup at your hotel in the dark, before the flight briefing.
- Drive to the launch field your balloon company names, and back after landing and breakfast.
- Launch fields are outside town, often on dirt tracks: send the map pin the balloon company gives you.
We sell the ride only. Book and pay for the activity with the venue.
Timing
- Pickups run from about 04:00 to 05:30 depending on the season, so the flight can start at sunrise.
- Several companies fly over the Jbilet hills north of the city, about an hour's drive from the centre.
- A pickup before 05:00 falls in the night window and costs 20% more on that leg.
Want the driver to wait?
A return trip means the driver drops you off and comes back at the time you agree. If you want the car waiting more than 3 hours, or driving you between several stops, book a driver by the half day (900 MAD) or the full day (1,600 MAD).

Questions
Do I need a transfer for a balloon flight?
Usually not. Most balloon flights sold in Marrakech include pickup from hotels within about 15 to 20 km of the centre. You need a car if your package has no transfer or your villa is outside that area.
How much is the ride to the launch field?
Around 600 MAD for the return trip in Standard, priced to the Palmeraie, the nearest place on our list. Launch fields are further out, so the office confirms the exact fare for your field before you book.
What if the flight is cancelled for wind?
Tell the office as soon as the balloon company tells you. The ride is booked for a date and time; the office will tell you in writing what a cancellation costs.
